Review of

Write Your Damn Book

by B.J. Daniels

Reviewed by Cheryl Wright

I own, and have read dozens of books on writing over the years.

B.J. Daniels is my most favourite writer of all time, and I buy her books without even reading the blurb. I see her name and buy. That's what enticed me to buy this book.

It's been an absolute godsend to me - and that's no exageration.

I'd been struggling to write for close to a year (due to illness, stress, family issues etc), and no matter what I did, I was unable to write much at all.

Until I bought this book.

I downloaded it to my Kindle, and began to read, only to discover I had to write my way through.  So I did. I worked my way though the book, choosing to mostly write scenes for my current WIP. (You can do that, start a new book, or just write random pieces.)

In each sitting, I'd written close to 1,000 words.  More than I'd written for the past twelve months!

But not only that, B.J. teaches various techniques for writing. Some of them techniques I'd never heard of, but will definitely be using them again and again.

I have to admit, most of what I wrote during the course of working my way through Write Your Damn Book was some of my best writing ever!

I'm still working through it, and still loving all the wonderful titbits I'm gathering along the way.

I feel that I should point out this book is suitable for any fiction writer, not just writers of romance fiction.

If you've ever wanted to write, or if you're a writer and in a slump like I was, or if you're a writer who just wants to improve, buy this book.

Don't think about it, don't hesitate - just do it!!

I promise, you won't be sorry.
